Summer Slam 2023 – Quick Info

Hey Team,

Just a quick update to let you know what’s happening with the Summer Slam for 2023. 

Our traditional October Challenge is (nearly) ready to go – this year, there will be TWO (2) versions:

Option 1:  Healthy Habits

This is a traditional month-long  ‘Summer Slam’ – setting up good habits for SUMMER. To complete this challenge you will need to complete 3x classes at Round 1 each week + 2x gym-based extras (yep, I have put together 5x new challenge workouts for the Healthy Habits challenge).  In addition, the Healthy Habits this year are:

Incidental Exercise:  Tracked by Steps per Day (which go up each week during the challenge).
Morning Routine:  We build up to 4x days per week during the challenge.
Sleep Routine:  We build up to 4x days per week during the challenge.

There are (of course) a heap of brand new recipes to try and the standard food ‘recommendations’ apply – there are no rules in the Healthy Habits challenge, just some ‘positive advice’ – around bread, pasta, added sugars/sweeteners and alcohol.

This challenge will be $79 for the challenge packs with all the new recipes, before and after body scans, the challenge workouts and how-to videos…it’s pretty good!

Option 2:  Highway to Hell

Based on some feedback from last year where we had a little bit of ‘umm – I need a summer SHRED-style challenge’, I have created a tonne of extra work for myself by creating a second version of this challenge – and it is just a ‘little bit’ tougher.

Going for 6-weeks, the ‘Highway to Hell’ means completing 4x classes + 3x extras each week – and yes, I have ramped up the extras for the H2H challenge and they are TOUGH.  On top of all that, there is a cardio mandate – 3x outdoor cardio sessions each week (run/swim/ride) and your challenge packs include simple progressions for everyone nervous about the running and swimming components (you can run 3x per week if you like – no requirement to do all three).  There is NO requirement to do the morning routine/sleep routine BUT the food rules are RULES for this version…NO Bread, NO Pasta, NO added Sweeteners and NO Alcohol…and yes, you do get cheat days but the number is TWO.

This challenge is a bit longer – 6 weeks – and will be $99.  Again, you will receive a dedicated challenge pack with all the new recipes, before and after body scans, the challenge workouts and how-to videos.
