Recipe of the Week – San Chow Bow

Ingredients:

4 Tablespoons of Soy sauce

3 Tablespoons of Mirin

2 Tablespoons of Hoisin

1 Tablespoon of Oyster Sauce

2 Tablespoons of Garlic paste

1 Tablespoon of ginger paste

1 Pinch of msg

500g of beef mince

500g of pork mince

2 carrots grated

2 sticks of celery thinly sliced

4 cups of cooked rice

Peanuts to serve

1 spring onion, cut thinly to serve

1 diced large onion

Cos lettuce for serving cups

Steps:

Add all sauces, ginger, garlic paste and msg together and mix.

Brown off onions in wok, then add and brown off mince.

Add and soften celery and carrot.

Then add the sauce mix, and cooked rice. Heat through.

Wash cos leaves and prepare to serve.

To serve fill cos leaves with the San Choy Bow, then top with peanuts and spring onion.
