Pre-Christmas Prep: Nail Down Your Routine with Summer Slam!

Hey Team,

Thanks as always to everyone who got along and trained with us this past week.  Special shout-out to the team of three – that’s right, 3-people – who held firm and won the Bike Race in boxing on Friday.  I know my 12pm crew seemed to be working pretty hard and we were nearly 100x calories off the pace…great job to those guys.  If anyone wants to get a team together to take them down next time – well, we have a rower race coming up in early October – you know how to get in touch.

I really want to focus today’s message in on the Summer Slam which is now only 10-days from kick-off.  It’s a pretty different/unique set up this year…really keen to see as many names up on the walls as possible (if that doesn’t make sense, read on) so we can all smash this out of the park.  Today’s blog is all about the 2024 Summer Slam!

As we all know, the December/January party season is just around the corner, and with it comes the usual chaos—Christmas parties, BBQs, family gatherings, and all the indulgence that goes with it. But what if we told you that NOW is the perfect time to get ahead of the game?

Introducing Summer Slam at Round 1 Fitness—a challenge designed to help you lock in a regular training routine during October and November so that when the busy season arrives, you can coast through without breaking a sweat (well, maybe a little sweat).

Challenge Extras – Small Wins, Big Results

We know that many of our members are already hitting 4-5 sessions per week, but the real magic in the Summer Slam challenge comes from the Challenge Extras! These are short, sharp 10-15 minute “burner” workouts that you can do 3-4 times a week. Not only will they give you an extra sense of satisfaction, but they’ll also provide a nice fitness boost to take your results to the next level.

These quick, intense sessions are easy to fit into your routine and can make all the difference when it comes to achieving your challenge goals!

Friday Night Lights – Extra Points and Prizes!

To add even more excitement to Summer Slam, every Friday during the challenge, we’re running our special Friday Night Lights class at 5:30 PM. This combined Boxing and Strength session is designed to get you fired up for the weekend and is worth a massive three challenge points!

But that’s not all—each week, we’ll be giving away an LSKD voucher:

  • $100 for challenge participants
  • $50 for non-participants

So whether you’re in it for the points or just for the fun, Friday Night Lights is the perfect way to kick off your weekend!

How to Sign Up

Signing up for the Summer Slam is a very simple process:

  1. Open your FitBOX app.
  2. Click the Settings Button on the bottom right (3x Horizontal Lines).
  3. Click My PROFILE.
  4. Click Subscriptions.
  5. Click Add New Subscription.
  6. Scroll down and select #Challenge – 2024 Summer Slam Subscription.

There is no initial charge for the Summer Slam. Your payment will be made at the end of the challenge (November 10th) based upon your level of achievement.

One of the best parts of the Summer Slam challenge is that you won’t be doing it alone! Everyone at Round 1 Fitness will be working together to hit their goals, and there’s nothing like that community vibe to keep you motivated and on track. Whether you’re new to the gym or a regular, we’ll all be in it together.
