Over the past few months, Peak Performance has become one of the most popular training options at Round 1. The vibe, the format, the energy — it’s been everything we hoped it would be, and more.
But now it’s time for the next step.
We’re evolving. Peak Performance is becoming HYROX.
Before you panic — no, this doesn’t mean we’re throwing everything out and starting from scratch. In fact, if you’ve been loving Peak, you’re going to feel right at home in our HYROX sessions. Same energy. Same challenge. Same crew. Just a little more purpose.
So what’s HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness race — combining running and functional fitness stations in a set format. But you don’t have to race to train HYROX-style. It’s simply a structured, exciting way to train with measurable progress and a real sense of momentum.
Why the switch?
Because the Peak Performance format already mirrored HYROX training.
We just didn’t call it that.
And now that Round 1 Fitness is an official HYROX affiliate, we’ve decided to go all in — offering a full weekly timetable built around the HYROX experience.
You’ll still get:
-
Challenging strength blocks
-
Circuit-based intensity
-
Interval training, AMRAPs, EMOMs
-
Partner and team workouts
-
Variety, fun, and grit
What’s changed?
The sessions now align with a global standard, and you’ll have the option to build toward a race, if that’s your thing. If it’s not, that’s fine too. You can just keep training — harder, smarter, and with more structure than ever.
Here’s how the new HYROX week looks:
-
Monday / Wednesday – HYROX Power
Marketing Lingo: Strength-focused sessions designed to build high-output, explosive athletes with the capacity to lift heavy and move well under pressure.
No BS Explanation: No fluff, no fluffing around. This one’s for the strength crew — squats, presses, pulls, and all the good stuff. You’ll lift heavy, you’ll rest short, and you’ll leave stronger every week. Zero cardio machines in sight. -
Tuesday / Thursday – HYROX Engine
Marketing Lingo: Combines foundational strength work with high-intensity endurance training to build a powerful, resilient athlete capable of sustained performance under fatigue.
No BS Explanation: Start with some heavy lifting (squats, deadlifts, bench — the good stuff), then roll straight into cardio that sucks in the best possible way. Rows, runs, bikes, burpees — all the sweaty chaos that builds an engine you can rely on when things get tough. -
Friday – HYROX Foundations
Marketing Lingo: Develops movement efficiency, technical consistency, and full-body strength to ensure long-term performance and injury resilience.
No BS Explanation: Full-body training session with a focus on basic techniques (HYROX movements) and getting the fundamentals right so you don’t gas out, fall apart, or get injured when the race (or training) gets tough. -
Saturday – HYROX Race Ready
Marketing Lingo: A HYROX-specific session focused entirely on the key race movements — sleds, farmers carries, wall balls, lunges, and more — combined with structured running to sharpen technique, build capacity, and prep for race day.
No BS Eplanation: This is the real deal. You’ll run. You’ll push sleds. You’ll row, ski, lunge, and wall ball your way through the race-day exercises. It’s brutal, it’s fun, and it’s the best way to know if you’re ready… or not.
If you’ve enjoyed Peak Performance, this is your next step.
We’re not replacing your training — we’re levelling it up.
See you in the gym. And see you at HYROX.
Michael.
