How to Keep a Healthy Relationship with the Gym and Exercising

Hey team, coming into the new year we all want to start off fresh, even in the gym. I have listed a few things that I find helps me keep a healthy relationship with the gym and exercising.

FIND A GYM BUDDY– it can be hard to keep yourself accountable and keep motivated when you’re going to the gym regularly – finding someone that you can share the experience with can be really helpful and keep you on track.  You can both push each other, hold each other accountable and motivate each other to achieve the goals you have set in place all while having some fun.

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY– it’s okay to take a step back and let yourself rest when you feel like it. Sometimes this is your body asking for a break and it is important to give it time to recover. Taking a break and resting every now and then doesn’t make you lazy in fact it is very necessary.

FIND YOUR REASON – have a think to yourself about why you started coming to the gym in the first place then write the reasons down along with your goals. Every now and then look at your goals to remind yourself how far you have come.

MAKE IT FUN – keeping your workouts fun is very important. Try changing up your classes once in a while and try something new. Mixing between Funky or Boxing classes is a great option to mix thing up.
