BoxPlus reset launching June at Round 1 Fitness

BoxPlus: The next Evolution Starts in JUNE

May 28, 20263 min read

Over the last few months we’ve been spending a lot of time asking a pretty simple question:

What actually makes BoxPlus… BoxPlus?

Because it was never supposed to be random stations, random circuits or random punches.

It was supposed to feel like something.

Pressure. Energy. Movement. Controlled chaos. A room full of people working hard together.

And after a lot of testing, tweaking and rebuilding (we've obviously been trying stuff!), June marks the next evolution of BoxPlus.

Not a complete overhaul.

A better version of what already makes it special.

The biggest shift is that the boxing itself is becoming more intentional.

Instead of sessions feeling like isolated movements and combinations, everything is starting to connect together more naturally. You’ll notice combinations flowing into slips and rolls, movement linking into pressure, rhythm changes, attack and retreat patterns and boxing that feels more connected from start to finish.

Still fitness boxing.

Just smarter fitness boxing.

We’ve also spent a lot of time making sure sessions develop their own identity.

Some days will feel boxing heavy. Some will feel explosive and reactive. Others will be engine-driven, pressure-based or carry a stronger strength influence.

The goal is simple:

We don’t want every day feeling like “another hard workout.”

We want sessions to feel like experiences.

One thing we looked at closely during this rebuild was our recurring monthly sessions.

Sessions like The Reset, The Big Boards, In The Zone and Mini Circuits have always played an important role inside BoxPlus because while variety keeps things exciting, familiarity creates progress.

The first time you do a session you survive it.

The second time you understand it.

The third time you start finding opportunities.

By the fifth time you walk in already thinking:

“I know exactly where I can attack this today.”

That matters.

Because fitness needs enough novelty to stay exciting…but enough structure to allow people to improve.

If we’re honest though, some of those recurring sessions had started feeling a little stale.

Not because the ideas were bad.

Because BoxPlus itself has evolved.

So instead of deleting them and starting again, we rebuilt them.

  • The Reset (class of the month, 9-min rounds) has evolved into "First Strike" — setting the tone for the month.

  • The Big Boards (as many boards as you can) has become "The Pursuit" — a race against the bell and the next board.

  • Mini Circuits have evolved into "Rapid Fire" — short pressure bursts with room resets.

"In The Zone" (8-min Rounds) remains, but now feels like five different training worlds operating at once.

"Instructor Led Boxing Day" has become "Fight Camp" - louder and even more coach-driven.

The bones remain.

But the feel has changed.

You’ll still see everything that makes BoxPlus what it is.

The bags. The SPARCs. The bikes. Barbells. Kettlebells. Sleds. Rowers. Bodyweight circuits.

They’ll simply move together with more purpose.

You’ll also notice the boards themselves evolving.

As the gym grows and coaches manage multiple moving parts, the sessions need to coach the room better.

Expect cleaner combinations, stronger movement flow, clearer boxing structure and better pacing.

Less:

“What are we doing?”

More:

“Let’s go.”

Because while a lot has changed...the vibe absolutely hasn’t.

BoxPlus should still feel like controlled chaos, movement, pressure, loud music, teamwork, sweat and hard work.

We’re not trying to turn it into amateur boxing.

We’re trying to make it better fitness boxing.

More structure.

More purpose.

More progression.

Same energy.

June starts now.

Let’s go.
