    Tip Tuesday – Goal Setting and Motivation!

    Goal setting and motivation!.

    While I could go on about SMART Goal setting (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timing), Something I feel gets missed though is, being genuine to yourself.

    Do you want the goal, or do you want to want the goal. What does that gibberish mean? Simple, I feel we can all agree that we would like to say we have a goal of getting washboard abs, a solid sleep cycle, and having nutrition on point. But is that something you genuinely want? Odds for most of us, the answer is no, we don’t want that as much as we want a piece of cake, or to stay up to watch another episode of our tv show. And that is more than OK.
    What I am trying to say, is if you want your goal to succeed, it must be something you genuinely want, something you are willing to make sacrifices for. At the end of the day the work we do at the gym is hard. If you aren’t true to yourself and what you are wanting to achieve. You won’t achieve any superficial goals.
